Sirena 68
We have worked on 2 Sirena 68’s. The first was sold at NBIBS to a client who would be keeping the boat in Marina Del Rey.
We were told that the front grey water sump had failed, as well as the depth sounder.
We were able to trace the root of the problem with the sump to a failed plastic fitting and subsequently replaced it with a vastly superior brass fitting eliminating the problem from ever happening again.
The depth sounder we tested to make sure it was indeed the component and not a wiring fault. Sirena had placed the depth sounder in an incredibly difficult location but luckily we were able to remove the old one without a need for haul out, and place the new one in, without any leaks.
All of this was completed within the week of the sale.
The second Sirena 68 we worked on had lost power to its Humphree Trim tabs.
We tried for a while to locate the fault from the panel back, but ultimately had to run new wiring to the trim tabs and luckily that solved the problem.
We got the call in the morning and had the boat working by the end of the day.
